Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Simple Software LLC, a Colorado limited liability company (“Simple Software,” “we”), handles information in connection with WearRoom (the “Service”). It covers two groups: the jewelry brands who subscribe to WearRoom (“Brands”) and the shoppers who use the try-on experience on a participating Brand site (“Shoppers”).
The short version
- Shopper camera video is processed entirely on the device of the Shopper. We never receive, store, or transmit camera images or video.
- We collect Brand account information and anonymized try-on analytics events.
- Consumer-facing data is stored on infrastructure located in the United States.
Information we collect
From Brands: name, email, brand name, website, the product content you upload, and billing details. Payment card data is handled by Stripe, and we do not store full card numbers.
From Shoppers: when a shopper uses the try-on, we collect anonymized event data, for example that a try-on was opened, started, completed, or led to an add-to-cart, along with basic device and browser information and an opaque, randomly generated identifier used to measure funnels. If a Shopper chooses to save their measurements, we store those measurements associated with that identifier. We do not collect camera video, photographs of the Shopper, or biometric identifiers. All camera processing is performed locally, in the browser on the device.
How we use information
To provide and improve the Service, generate analytics for Brands, process billing, provide support, and comply with law.
Where data is stored
Consumer-facing data is stored on infrastructure located in the United States. The Service is not currently offered for consumer sign-up in the EU or UK.
Service providers
We use a small set of sub-processors to run the Service: Stripe (payments), Supabase (database, authentication, file storage), Cloudflare (content delivery and hosting), and Vercel (application hosting). Each processes data only to provide its service to us.
Cookies and local storage
The Brand dashboard uses cookies that are necessary for login and sessions. The try-on widget uses first-party browser storage to hold the opaque identifier described above. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
Data retention
We keep Brand account data while the account is active and for a reasonable period afterward. Anonymized analytics events are retained to provide historical reporting. You may request deletion of your Brand account data by contacting us.
Your choices
Brands may access, correct, or delete their account information from the dashboard or by contacting us. Shoppers can clear the try-on identifier by clearing their browser storage. Saved measurements are optional and can be removed on request.
Children
The Service is not directed to children and is intended for use by businesses and adult shoppers.
Security
We use industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit, row-level access controls, and scoped credentials, to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Changes
We may update this Policy. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date.
